Who is the talk for?
The talk is for you with no background in the industry: career changers, unemployed, students, and anyone who keeps seeing GMP in job adverts without knowing what sits behind it. You need no prior knowledge, there are no stupid questions, and nobody is put on the spot. The trainers are the same ones who run our six week course, so you see exactly how we teach.
How the two hours run
Doors open at 16:45. From 17:00 to 18:00 our trainers give an introductory talk where you get to grips with many of the abbreviations used in the industry, an overview of the critical roles and departments inside a pharmaceutical company, and a map of the leading Danish pharma companies.
From 18:00 to 19:00 we serve snacks, and there is plenty of time for questions, discussion and networking.
The practical details
We hold it at Svanevej 22 in Copenhagen NV. Doors open at 16:45 and we finish at 19:00. From 18:00 there are snacks and something to drink, and time to talk to the trainers and the other people who turned up. You do not need to bring anything, and you do not need to have read anything beforehand. Sign up in the form below, so we know how many to expect. The talk is for you if you want to know what GMP is, and how the pharmaceutical industry actually works. Maybe you are considering a career change into the industry, maybe you are unemployed and looking for the route that genuinely leads to a job, or maybe you are studying and want to see what the field holds.
You get two hours where you can ask about everything you have been carrying around, and it costs nothing. And if you like what you hear, there is a six week GMP course afterwards, which is free for you if you are unemployed.

Meet your trainers
Lykke Erichsen
Lykke has worked as a Quality Laboratory Technician at ALK and as Instrument Coordinator at FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies, coordinating service, troubleshooting and GMP documentation for analytical equipment in quality control and production. She teaches with a focus on the everyday reality of the laboratory, and there is always room for questions.
Rikke Egeberg Tankard
Rikke combines an academic background with experience from the industry itself. She holds a PhD in Physics from DTU and most recently worked as equipment specialist at Novo Nordisk, focusing on cleaning processes including Clean-In-Place. There she worked with production equipment, operations, data handling and maintenance. She knows the GMP requirements from the inside, and teaches with a focus on making complex rules understandable and usable.
